This International Multidisciplinary Research & Innovation Journal,  is a peer-reviewed biannual and open access journal published by Diabetes Awareness & You (DAY) in collaboration with Nurture Academy Welfare Trust (NAWT).

Being an International Multidisciplinary Research & Innovation Journal, this is a platform dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge across disciplines. UpDAYtes is committed to encourage scholarly dialogue that transcends traditional academic boundaries. As a monolingual journal, we encourage the publication of original papers for fostering inclusive and diverse academic participation. Our mission is to create a vibrant space for interdisciplinary research that reflects the complexity of the contemporary world.

We welcome original articles, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, brief communications, and policy perspectives from various disciplines of science, humanities, student innovation, and management studies that explore the interplay between diet, metabolism, and health outcomes across the lifespan and those may range from molecular and cellular mechanisms to population-level interventions and health policies.

All submissions shall undergo a rigorous peer-review process, including the conventional checking to ensure the highest standards of academic integrity and quality. We are deeply grateful to our authors, reviewers, and readers for their continued support in building UpDAYtes as a trusted and evolving platform for intellectual exchange.

About DAY:

‘Diabetes Awareness and You (DAY)’ is a not-for-profit social welfare Organization. Since its inception in 2006, we have been instrumental in conducting a slew of initiatives in building up public awareness about prevention and management of Diabetes, conducting school awareness programs, adopting and conducting diabetes camps in villages, live workshops among communities, providing free insulin /medicines/tests to those who cannot afford treatment. We have also initiated the idea to establish the role of Diabetes Educators in our society and dedicate "5th September" as International Diabetes Educator’s Day (IDED) since 2016 (launched by the then IDF President) and organizing DAYDEIC (DAY Diabetes Educator’s International Conference) annually. The THEME of IDED (2022-26) is: ‘Access to Diabetes Education for ALL’. To establish the role of Diabetes Educators in our society and to recognize their importance, we have also instituted the award of ‘Best Indian Diabetes Educator of the year’ since 2019-20.This year we have completed our 19 years of glorious journey.
